Brooks earliest church experience was in the Wesleyan Methodist Church of England, then he pastored in Ireland, Scotland, Bristol, Nottingham and various other places as a member of the Elim Pentecostal Church. The Bible Pattern Church, and then the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.
